MINNEAPOLIS, January 02, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Piper Sandler Companies (NYSE: PIPR), a leading investment bank, today announced that effective January 1, 2024, Kate Clune became chief financial officer (CFO) at Piper Sandler.
The company had previously announced in September that Clune would take on the role of CFO replacing Tim Carter, who will remain with the company until April to ease the transition. Clune will oversee all of Piper Sandler’s financial operations and will also lead investor relations. team. She will report directly to Chad Abraham, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Clune joins the company from Evercore Inc. , where she was most recently Treasurer and Head of Planning and Strategy. Prior to that, he spent 16 years at Morgan Stanley, serving roles in operations, sales, trading and finance. His duties included corporate treasury and chief financial officer of its U. S. banks, as well as global head of monetary plans and analysis.
