“It works, it exists. We can say that today, if I’m not mistaken, Ukraine is the fifth country that can claim to have a laser weapon,” Sukharevskyi said, quoted in an article from kyiv.
Although Tryzub doesn’t offer much, according to various media outlets, the weapon can destroy any flying object at a distance of more than two kilometers. Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi did not provide further details about Tryzub, saying he is genuine and currently operational. However, it does not reveal the location or region where it is implemented.
According to some defense experts, the weapon could be powered by the UK’s DragonFire, a laser-directed energy weapon (LDEW) that uses a powerful beam of light to destroy its target. The weapon is capable of attacking at the speed of light.
