‘Wicked’ is coming to digital platforms to buy or rent on 3rd January 2025, it has been announced, courtesy of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
The virtual release comes with a bonus sing-along version, a 40-minute adventure through Oz celebrating the film’s transformative magic on screen, deleted and extended scenes and much more, only when you purchase from virtual stores nationwide , adding Sky Store. Premiere, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.
One of the most popular musicals, “Wicked” adapted to the big screen by director Jon M. Chu (“Crazy Rich Asians”) and starring Cynthia Erivo (“Harriet”) in the role of Elphaba, a young woman misunderstood that he still has to notice his true power, and Ariana Grande in the role of Glinda, a popular young woman who has not yet discovered her true heart.
The two meet at Shiz University and forge an unlikely friendship, before their lives take different directions after an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Their ordinary adventures will ultimately lead them to fulfill their destiny as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
