
Tesla is recalling about 200,000 cars in the U. S. The rearview camera doesn’t work when the car is in reverse.
The recall covers certain model year 2023 Y, S and X. They all ship with a 4. 0 “Full Self-Driving” computer and run the software edition 2023. 44. 30 to 2023. 44. 30. 6 or 2023. 44. 100.
The company says in documents released through the U. S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. According to the U. S. Department of Homeland Security, software instability can prevent the camera symbol from displaying symbols when Teslas are in reverse. The security company says this can increase the risk of an accident.
Tesla claims in documents that it is not aware of any injuries or injuries. The documents imply that the issue was resolved through an online software update.
Owners will be notified by letter starting March 22.
