President Trump signed an executive order Thursday to declassify the remaining files from the investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. After one of a few files in 2022, the National Archives and Records Administration said 97% of the roughly five million pages in its JFK assassination-like collection was public.
Trump is directing the Director of National Intelligence and the Attorney General, officials have yet to be shown, to spend the next 15 days getting a plan to the JFK files.
Mr. Trump’s ordinance will also claim more archives on the 1968 murders of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and former senator and Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy. The ID and the Attorney General will have forty -five days to offer plans to publish the RFK and MLK files.
Kennedy shot and killed while riding in his motorcade in Dallas on November 22, 1963, at the age of 46.
An investigation led by Chief Justice Earl Warren concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald, a former Marine and communist activist who had lived in the Soviet Union, acted alone in shooting Kennedy, but the probe has been widely criticized by academics and historians in the nearly 60 years since the assassination.
Oswald shot at the Dallas police seat basement two days after Kennedy’s death, additional food conspiracy theories about the consultation of Si is only responsible.
White House officials have not yet said what or how many JFK murder files will be launched. The national archives published a treatment of 13,173 documents that have been revealed to their murder in the last 2022, for a while after the then President Biden issued an executive order that authorized that he authorized his release. But its management has maintained thousands of other delicate records under the wrapping.
In a demonstration in Washington, D. C. , on the eve of its inauguration, the archives would make public to sign a recovery of “transparency and responsibility to the government”.

The timing of the release or releases has yet to be announced.
The order stipulates that the director of National Intelligence and the Attorney General have 15 days to provide a plan to the President “for the entire publication and complete publication of the archives related to the murder of President John F.
