Donald Trump responded sarcastically to questions about whether he would be visiting the site of the deadly crash over the Potomac River in Washington D.C., asking reporters at the White House: “You want me to go swimming?”

The president said Thursday that he would meet with some of the families of the victims of the tragedy, which occurred at Ronald Reagan airport on Wednesday night. All the other 67 people involved in the accident is presumed dead, the government said before.

When asked about his plans for the Twist of Fate site, he replied: “I have a Toarray plan, not the site. Because you tell me, what is the site? What do you need to swim?

Social media users temporarily condemned the “insensitive” comments.

“67 other people die under their surveillance, and is a joke?” “Shyglined, absolutely absent in complete empathy because many other Americans are like that and do not see any challenge with this,” wrote a user in reaction to the clip.

“We are such a profoundly unserious country sometimes,” added another.

The president’s comments came here when he signed an order after the comments he previously made on the day at a press conference, in which he blamed the accident to the agendas of Joe Biden and the diversity (DEI).

The order is titled “Immediate Aviation Security Assessment. “

“We need the most competent people,” Trump said. We don’t care about your race. We need the most competent people, especially in those positions. “

He added: “You communicate about incredibly complex things, and if they have a wonderful brain, a wonderful force of the brain, they will be very intelligent in what they will do and bad things will happen. ” “

Trump made the comments ahead of any investigative conclusions about the twist of fate and did not offer any specificity or evidence for his statements.

When pressed after his earlier remarks about why he believed DEI was responsible for the crash, he responded that it “could have been.” He said he reached his conclusion because “I have common sense.”

Trump also said he would be meeting with some of the families of the victims from the D.C. collision, but did not specify when. “I will be meeting with some people that were very badly hurt with their family members, obviously, but I’ll be meeting with some of the families, yeah,” he said.

On Thursday afternoon, more than 40 bodies were discovered on the Potomac River, said CNN resources with official operations wisdom.

Diving operations were completed for the day due to daylight, water situations and the conviction that the maximum patients who can be affected without cutting portions of the water aircraft have already recovered, said a source of application of the law.
