Donald Trump says A with Russia’s Vladimir Putin is underway

U. S. President-elect Donald Trump said an assembly organized between him and Russian President Vladimir Putin, however, the Republican did not offer any timetable for discussions between the two leaders.

“He wants to meet, and we are setting it up,” Trump said in remarks before a meeting with Republican governors at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida on Thursday.

“President Putin will meet. He said that even publicly and we have to approve this war with her. It is a bloody waste, “Trump said about the Russian-Ukraine war.

The Kremlin said Friday that Putin opens up to Trump and that Moscow had no prerequisites for the staging of the meeting.

“The president has repeatedly stated his openness to contact with international leaders, including the US president, including Donald Trump,” Putin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

The Kremlin welcomed Trump’s “readiness to solve problems through dialogue”, Peskov said.

“No conditions are required. What is required is mutual desire and political will to solve problems through dialogue,” he told reporters in a daily briefing.

The elected president of the United States made his assembly with Putin only one week and a part before assuming the position, after the promises during his crusade of bringing peace to Ukraine, which has been at war for approximately 3 years later of the large -scale invasion of Russia in February 2022.

Trump has never made concrete proposals for a high fire or a peace agreement. But he introduced proposals to put an end to war with his advisors, which includes the notable giant portions of Ukraine in Russia in the predictable future.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Trump can be decisive in the 34 -month war with Russia and prevent Putin.

In an interview with Sky News leader Stuart Ramsay’s correspondent published on Nov. 29, Zelenskyy said the “hot phase” of the war may end if NATO presented security promises for Ukraine’s role lately under Kyiv’s.

Zelenskyy added that the return of the land occupied through Russia at this time can be negotiated diplomatically later.

But Trump has made fun of Zelenskyy as a “seller”, and has caused fear among allies through rarely criticizing Putin.

On Tuesday, he also told Newshounds that he sympathized with the Russian position that Ukraine was not a component of NATO.

“A big part of the problem is, Russia – for many, many years, long before Putin – said, ‘You could never have NATO involved with Ukraine.’ Now, they’ve said that. That’s been, like, written in stone,” he said.

“And somewhere along the line, [outgoing president Joe] Biden said: ‘No. deserve to be able to register in NATO. ” Well, then Russia has someone at their door, and I can perceive their emotions about it. “

Trump has also criticized the giant amount of help of the army that the United States has sent to kyiv.

Since the Russian invasion began, the United States Democratic president, Joe Biden, has committed more than $ 175 billion in help for Ukraine, adding more than $ 60 billion in security assistance.

However, it’s unclear that aid will continue at this speed under Trump, who has said he needs to bring the war to a quick end.

Trump has also persistently complained that Washington’s NATO members spend enough in defense and advised that the United States can review their commitment to the Army Alliance unless they accumulate their expenses.

Most European members have recently build their expenses at 2% of the gross domestic product, the minimum existing advice of NATO.

However, Trump demanded a significant hike on Tuesday, calling for spending of 5 percent.
