It’s the last step before Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20.

Trump said on Truth Social before the certification, “Congress certifies our wonderful election victory, a wonderful moment in history. Maga!”
Lawmakers piled up on Capitol Hill to certify the election, despite a heavy snowstorm that forced many federal offices and public schools in the Washington, D. C. , region.

The Republican leaders of Congress had suggested to legislators to remain in the capital of the nation over the weekend to avoid possible travel problems.
When Ohio’s electoral votes were announced, Los Angeles’ Chambre de Républicains applications were energetically announced, while some have given a status ovation for the state’s Vance.
