XI Visit Citizens Affected Through Floods in Northeast China

SHENYANG (AP) — Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China’s Central Committee, on Wednesday defied other people affected by flooding in a village in northeast China’s Linkages Province.

Xi arrived in Zhujiagou village, under the administration of Suizhong County, Huludao City, a leader of the spring festival, the ultimate life festival for the Chinese people, which falls on Jan. 29 this year.

Huludao, one of the hardest towns hit through summer floods in 2024.

Xi inspected the progress of post-disaster recovery and reconstruction.

Visiting villagers who had moved into their new homes just before this winter, Xi asked about the quality of the rebuilt homes and whether their living situations were adequate.
