A guy who was just looking to sell some of his belongings, adding a car, on Facebook Marketplace to make some extra money ended up being picked up through a woman who jokingly asked him if he would come with the vehicle.
TikTok user Dimovzy (@dimovzy) posted the video in which he reveals the woman’s proposal as he weighed the option of accepting her offer while asking other users of the app whether or not he passed out with her, despite her asking him. If he intended to pass out for a drink at 2 p. m.
Since then, the viral clip has amassed more than 689,000 views and has followed several more videos, garnering around 2 million additional views in total. Dimovzy begins recording the video from inside what appears to be a Tesla vehicle. Question: “Since when has Facebook Marketplace been active?” a dating site?
He explains, “Recently, I indexed some of my stuff on Facebook Marketplace. Times are getting tough, I’m looking to make some extra money, I’m poor, so I’ve indexed a car, indexed t-shirts, indexed shoes, etc. Yesterday I got a message and he’s a layman and he says “How much does the car cost?”And I’m like, it’s on that damn list! Why are you asking me how much it costs?costs?
Apparently, the woman had other motives. And I tell her it’s that amount and she’s like, oh. Many other people suggested that he attend this appointment, basically “because of the plot”. Dimovzy explained in several subsequent videos that he eventually ended up dating the woman later, but not at 2 p. m. as she first suggested. He adds in the caption that he is considering going on a second date with the woman.
Dimovzy posts about her love life on the social media app. In another video, the TikToker calculated all the money he spent over the past five years with various women by looking at his transaction history, and it turns out he’s lost. More than $77,000 in that time, which made her feel like she needed to cry.
Facebook runs a real dating service that it introduced in 2019. While some have criticized the service, others say it’s a friendly way to meet other people in your domain who share common interests.
