
An email obtained through the government threatening to detonate a bomb at the Padres’ game against the Dodgers has been proven false, he said Wednesday.
A report published through Yonhap news agency on Wednesday morning (Korea time) said police were “tracking the sender and planned to deploy 30 commandos and another 120 people to search the stadium. “But no harmful or suspicious scenarios have yet been identified.
Shortly before noon, a user with information about the sender showed that police had tracked down the sender, who has a history of false threats.
The Padres and Dodgers are scheduled to play MLB’s first regular season in South Korea on Wednesday and Thursday at the Gocheok Sky Dome.
Wednesday’s game at 3 a. m. PT.
The Korea Herald reported that the email won at 6 a. m. on Wednesday. It is written in English and dates back to Japan.

“The safety and security of our fans and everyone in the stadiums where we play is our first priority. MLB Security works intensively with the local government to ensure a safe environment for everyone who attends our games. MLB, along with the Seoul Metropolitan Police and other local officials will continue to intensively monitor the stage and take all appropriate measures throughout the event.
