The popularity of gold was established in the 1870s. Under this rule, the printing of currency was allowed based on the amount of gold a country had in its reserves.
Money has been a component of human history for at least 5,000 years, in one form or another. Historians agree that a barter formula was probably used before that time. Barter comes to the direct industry of goods and services. For example, a farmer may trade a bushel of wheat for a pair of shoes at a shoe store.
The world’s oldest known and securely dated coin minting site is located in Guanzhuang, Henan Province, China. The Mint began minting coins around 640 BC. It was probably the first standardized steel coin.
The Chinese exchanged coins for paper money around 1260 A. D. When Marco Polo visited China around 1271 A. D. , the emperor of China was well acquainted with the source of the cash and its denominations.
