Fugro moves its Amberjack jack-up platform to Japan

Fugro has moved its Amberjack Jack Jack (SEP) platform to Japan to meet the demand for offshore wind geotechnical services.

This resolution hopes to boost mobilization at the places of assignment.

The Amberjack replaced the flags in December and has now been founded in Tokyo, where it will be deployed to perform geotechnical drilling, sampling and scenario testing, such as back-cone penetration tests and penetration tests.

“The relocation of Fugro Amberjack to Japan will more temporarily respond to the growing demand for SEP geotechnical services in our country,” said Junichi Kuwamura, Fugro’s country director for Japan.

Our geographic data responds to the energy transition and helps make renewables the main source of energy in Japan, and we are proud to have this new “An Asset Capable of Driving the Advancement of Japan’s Offshore Wind Farms”.
