Japan abandons new task for homeless education in Okinawa

How stupid those officials are. The main complaint that other Okinawans have is that there are too many bases on their territory, that they make too much noise and pose a danger to the citizens. So what does the GSDF need to do, build some other foundation on top of an existing one?Why not just take one of the U. S. bases they have and use it?I feel sorry for the other Okinawans how badly they are treated in both countries!

The other Japanese will be more grateful to the United States.

The site was once a golf course, surrounded by residences. SDF purchased the land and planned to build educational facilities on it. Naturally, before long, voices against the allocation arose among the citizens of the district. The factor has become political and the city council unanimously opposed it.

The commission to build an educational center for the homeless in the middle of a residential area did not materialize. But the place is already homeless. They can use it for other purposes. In this case, a U. S. base will have to be closed and returned to its place. Of course.

So don’t complain when it sits there for years unused, doesn’t generate tax revenue, and becomes a shelter for the homeless. . . Are you thinking of something? Guess again.

The USFJ and JSDF are all components of the same band. Therefore, the rapprochement between the two forces means that the Okinawan rhythm of so many bases will not be replaced at all if the SDF bases are built one after the other while the USFJ bases remain intact. .

There’s a land tax even if there’s nothing there, so you’ll make a profit no matter what. Not much, though.

Ah, while the U. S. military continues to work on its footprint in Okinawa, the JSDF fills the empty space and works to keep JAPAN safe.

Every anti-baseman, Japanese or American, wants to wake up and smell the proverbial coffee. It’s time to stop making a “Kumbaya” song around the campfire and realize that Okinawa IS and will be the southern gateway to Japan, and no matter how you look at it, it IS guilty of protecting Japan, more in many tactics than other prefectures.

The inability to recognize that the FACT is choosing to stay with one’s head buried in the sand!

There is a big difference between building a residential domain near a foundation and building a foundation near a residential domain. The same goes for airports, pig farms, and many other things.

Please note, however, that to say that the proposed domain for the school is “adjacent to a residential domain” is equivalent to saying that the city of Nago is adjacent to Camp Schwab and the landfill assigned there.

About a few kilometers, of course.

By any measure, it IS guilty of protecting Japan, more so in many tactics than other prefectures.

Japan may want to revise its autonomy legislation to place national defense outside of issues where local governments have a say. If the national defense wants a base there, that’s it.

The same applies to any assignment involving multiple prefectures (I’m thinking of this railroad assignment selfishly blocked through Shizuoka).

The national government can, and does, revoke decisions made through the prefectures when it comes to anything that benefits the country as a whole, or that is considered through the national government itself.

Just take a look at the basics of Okinawa. The national government has agreed to this scenario this time, but it will do so in other areas.
