FCC fines U. S. cell phone carriersU. S. Attorney General with Approximately $200 Million for Illegally Sharing Location Data

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Federal Communications Commission has fined the largest U. S. mobile carriers about $200 million for illegally sharing location information of their customers.

The FCC is finalizing the fines first proposed in February 2020, $80 million for T-Mobile and $12 million for Sprint, which also acquired for $57 million for AT.
