Warwick Acoustics Confirms MIRA Technology Park as New Sustainable Manufacturing Site for Revolutionary Automotive Audio Products

Warwick Acoustics confirms that its extensive and complex production operations will take place at the MIRA Technology Park (MTP), one of Europe’s largest automotive progression and study sites.

The Warwickshire-based company designs, develops and manufactures its innovative loudspeaker systems in the UK and signed its first production contract in June 2023.

Warwick Acoustics’ electrostatic audio panels are now in the final stages of industrialization for early consumers of this new patented technology, which are 90% lighter and consume 90% less energy than classic car speakers.

The variety of the MTP site powered by 100% renewable energy further reinforces the sustainability credentials of the patented technology, which is made from recycled materials and is 100% mass recyclable and free of uncommon terrestrial elements.

The new structure coincides with the construction of a 7 MW solar park by the owners of the site, which will generate enough electricity to supply 2,300 homes.

“We were founded on MTP since 2018 and it has been very good for us to carry out the research, progression and initial production of our products,” said Mike Grant, CEO of Warwick Acoustics. “As we begin mass production, we are very proud to particularly expand our operations here. Manufacturing our products where we are founded is vital to us, not only to ensure the sustainability and quality of our production, but also because UK production provides true global competitiveness from which we can challenge industry criteria. in this huge $8 billion global market.

“Here in the Midlands, Warwick Acoustics is supported through Midlands-based venture capital firm Mercia Asset Management, as well as the Midlands Engine initiative. We also have a presence in a region that boasts a highly professional skill set in the automotive sector. allowing us to recruit as many qualified and experienced applicants as possible to expand and grow this business. Expanding the business is our number one following the successful finishing touch of a £7 million investment round, enabling the next step in our strategy to achieve a basic replacement of the in-cabin audio experience,” added Grant.

With 8 patent families granted and two more patents pending, Warwick Acoustics’ UK-designed and manufactured electrostatic audio generation is revolutionizing in-car audio, moving away from the classic speaker format, the basics of which have yet to be adopted. about a hundred years.
