SAUGUS – After completing its former location in Saugus Plaza, Five Guys will reopen at 670 Broadway, the shuttered former Japanese restaurant Sake.
The new burger restaurant location was approved for a common refueling license at the Selectmen Board of Directors meeting.
Greg Vasey, co-founder and managing partner of Hyde Park Ventures, the company that owns the franchise, told the board that the company is looking to buy the assets that Sake had been holding “for nearly three or four years. “
In addition, a vehicle pickup counter was installed at the new location, so diners ordering online and via mobile apps will no longer have to wait inside the concession stand to get their food.
A virtual tracking formula will be used to track the location of diners, so that food can be delivered as soon as possible upon arrival at the restaurant without the need for in-store intervention.

Employees from the original Saugus Plaza location will remain employed at the new location, which will be open seven days a week from 11 a. m. to 11 a. m. M. A 10 p. m. The new one is expected to open in early May.
