According to a poll, 35% of U. S. adults say Trump broke the law in the New York cash secrecy case

Trump has pleaded guilty and denies having extramarital sex with Daniels.

The vote found that 31% of Americans found Trump’s moves were unethical, but not illegal. Fourteen percent of respondents said Trump did nothing wrong, while 19 percent said they didn’t know enough to be sure.

About a portion of respondents say they are very confident that New York state prosecutors treat Trump fairly, while 44% say they have little or no confidence in the impartiality of prosecutors.

However, if convicted, roughly a portion of the public believes Trump would be fit to hold office.

Respondents are more convinced that Trump committed wrongdoing in the other three federal and state criminal cases pending against him.

As for Trump’s alleged interference in the Georgia election, 47 of U. S. adults say the former president acted illegally.

Forty-seven percent say Trump committed a crime by keeping classified documents in his Florida home, while 45 percent say his efforts to overturn the effects of the 2020 election were illegal.

Despite this sentiment, about 40 percent of all Americans still have little or no confidence in the impartiality of state and federal prosecutors.

The secret trial verdict is expected about six weeks, well before the Republican National Convention, at which Trump is expected to officially settle for the GOP nomination for the November presidential election.
