HOWELL – A shuttered movie theater parking lot is the best spot in eastern Monmouth County for the next few days.
The unused lot of Xscape Cinemas, just off Highway Nine, is one of the sites hosting a L. E. A. D. Carnival festival, which runs through the first week of July. This is part of a series of events organized by law enforcement against drugs and violence.
Carnival is scheduled to be held every day from June 28 to July 7. From Monday to Friday, visitors are welcome from 5 pm to 11 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on July 4, the doors open at 3 p. m.
You participate in the occasion without paying. Admission to the carnival costs $5. From there, you can buy travel tickets or wristbands on the site.
Mega Passes, which offer kids unlimited rides for one day, charge $35 Friday through Sunday, $25 on Tuesdays and $30 on Wednesdays. The value is $35 on Thursday, Independence Day. Mega Passes come with front-end fares.
Monday is the “Night of the Dollar”: entrance and rides $1.
For maximum rides, children must be 36 inches tall. Some attractions require a parent to travel with a child, and parents will want to purchase tickets to travel.
Trips require 3-6 tickets per passenger.
According to the event’s website, anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
“A maximum of 3 children per adult is allowed,” it says.
In the face of carnival, the symptoms indicate to visitors that the age limit is due to “a national increase in violence among young people”.
Backpacks are not allowed on site. Face coverings are prohibited, religious and medical exemptions exist.
A L. E. A. D. Carnival Fest takes place on the dates, June 28 – July 7, at Mercer County Park.
Admission is $5.
The Mercer County Park Festival is also a “Dollar Night” on July 1.
