July 2 – GATESVILLE – Mildred Mojo brought a lot of MO-mentum and a lot of “Jo” to the Texas Teen Baseball 8-U State Softball Tournament in Gatesville, where Mildred beat the China Spring Dirt Divas 12-4 on Monday in their first-round game.
Coach Andrew Bonner’s sons arrived at the stadium a year ago and are back. After finishing fourth in the state last summer, the Mojo are back with their eyes and hearts determined to win it all.
They went 14-0 in district play and are now 15-0 after Monday’s big win. They will face the China Spring team on Tuesday in Gatesville, the tournament site, when they take on the China Spring Bombers at 7:30 p. m. round.
