First external session of the Eastern Economic Forum held in Vietnam

The occasion was attended by more than 100 high-level representatives of Vietnamese enterprises from the most promising sectors for cooperation, such as shipbuilding, textile production, agriculture and furniture manufacturing. On the Russian side, the assembly took a position in the presence of Alexander Stuglev, director of the Roscongress Foundation; Igor Pavlov, deputy director of the Roscongress Foundation; and Timur Sadykov, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh City.

Timur Sadykov: “Friendly relations between our countries have existed for several decades. This year, Russia and Vietnam celebrated 12 years of the status quo of a comprehensive strategic partnership. The growth in the volume of advertising and our economies, but also the progress of culture and science.

During the session, participants highlighted the importance of joint projects and investments aimed at strengthening the infrastructure and quality of life of the citizens of the two countries.

“Russia and Vietnam have many promising areas for cooperation,” said Alexander Stuglev, director of the Roscongress Foundation. “These include hydrocarbons, shipping, structural industry, tourism, the fashion industry and, of course, information technology. The economy demands the modernization of maritime infrastructure, where Russian technologies can be useful. The prospect and demand for exotic products create opportunities for collaborations in the agricultural sector. “

The consultation also provided a detailed review of the Roscongress Foundation’s ecosystem and provided a comprehensive presentation of opportunities for foreign companies, projects such as the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Eastern Economic Forum, the Russian Energy Week, and the “Travel!” program. Tourism Forum and Russian Design Industry Forum.

“Our occasions provide foreign corporations with ample opportunities to interact with Russian corporations and find new tactics of cooperation. These platforms not only facilitate vital discussions, but also lead to agreements that stimulate economic expansion and development. We will try to create the situations to make fruitful discussions and mutual partnerships that will bring significant benefits to Russian and Vietnamese enterprises,” Pavlov stressed.

The Eastern Economic Forum will be held from September 3 to 6, 2024, on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok. The organizer of the Forum is the Roscongress Foundation.

The Asian Business Center and the Vietnam-Malaysia Business Association (VMBIZ) jointly hosted a Vietnam-ASEAN Economic Cooperation Forum and a rite honoring strong brands, notable leaders and ASEAN quality and products in Malaysia on April 22.

Far Eastern Group, a major Taiwanese conglomerate, has announced a new investment of more than $250 million to expand its Binh Duong plant, bringing its total share in the region to more than $1 billion and solidifying its commitment to business expansion and economic prosperity.

The V ASEAN Economic Forum 2024 was held in Singapore and attracted policymakers, leaders of associations, organizations and companies, as well as economic experts from Vietnam, Singapore and ASEAN countries.
