Plans for a giant hub at the former Ames Plaza site in Steuben County are moving forward. Avon-based Quicklee aims to build a 48-room hotel, a fuel station, an electric vehicle charging station, a place to eat and a convenience store.
Officials say Quicklee completed a traffic control study in May and will soon provide an updated site plan. Allocation at Victory Highway and Erwin Hollow Road has been on hold for more than a year, pending approval of the structure.
The new proposal complies with local zoning codes and includes overnight parking for trucks, unless they are guests of the hotel.
