Sting Ray Robb injured in four-car crash on final lap of IndyCar Series race

NEWTON, Iowa (AP) — A four-car crash on the final lap of Sunday’s IndyCar Series race at Iowa Speedway injured driver Sting Ray Robb. Robb was injured when his car collided with Alexander Rossi’s slower car coming out of Turn Two. Robb’s car flipped over twice and ended up on the roof as it slid down the rear section. Kyle Kirkwood and Ed Carpenter were also involved in the crash, and Carpenter’s car ended up over Kirkwood’s. Robb is awake and alert after the crash, but he flew off. helicopter to a hospital in Des Moines for further evaluation.
