The food in the Olympic Village has been criticized during the Paris 2024 Games. The quality of the products and the shortage of basic products caused what some called a “disaster” in the French capital.
Simone Biles went to great lengths to explain why the food in the Olympic Village is rarely very good. Although she says she likes French cuisine, what she has eaten so far is not up to par!
The gymnast, who just won a gold medal with Team USA, is a member of the Gymna. In the U. S. , he asked him what he was having for dinner this week and whether or not he enjoyed it. Here’s what she had to say:
“In the village, it’s not authentic French food, as it is possible that it happens because you are outside the village. So, for athletes, it’s a little bit healthier.
Teammate Hezly Rivera echoed those sentiments, following Biles’ explanation on the podium.
“I don’t think it’s very good, at least what we eat in the refectory. I think French food is good, but what we have there I don’t think is the best. But it does its job.
The gymnasts say that the food is not up to par with what we can enjoy in France. Blandness and lack of flavor were the main sources of criticism, leading many other people to be artistic when preparing meals.
At least the desserts were up to the level of the Olympians, especially the chocolate muffins.
We had an idea why the food in the Olympic Village wasn’t going to be as tasty as you’d expect, even in Paris. Simone Biles came out and said it!
It’s healthier, a point underscored by the Olympic Committee’s preference for more plant-based products.
It turns out that some are now at outdoor functions in the village in hopes of better satisfying their taste buds. Others do the most productive with what they have!
