Tyreek Hill: Tua Tagovailoa gets his new contract “the best feeling of his life”

It’s been a week since quarterback Tua Tagovailoa agreed to his primary contract extension with the Dolphins, keeping him tied to the team at an annual average of $53. 1 million on his new contract.

In an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, wide receiver Tyreek Hill said he’s excited about his QB because of the adversity he faced in his first two seasons, adding to the Dolphins’ strong internal building complaints.

“Listening to his story about the other coaches he’s been through and everything he had to hear and stuff like that, we’re getting closer to seeing him sign this big contract. Is incredible. It’s the most productive feeling ever. I feel like I pointed out the damn deal to my mother,” Hill said. “I like, ‘Bro, congratulations to you and your family. ‘ Because a lot of other people said they didn’t need you here in this building, but there you have it, you’re going to end up signing this big contract here in Miami, so it’s the most productive thing you’ve ever done.

Hill said that when he saw information about the deal appear on social media, he tried to stop it from passing the meeting he was attending and congratulate Tapassvailoa, but he couldn’t do it: Tapassvailoa was a little busy putting pen to paper.

“That’s amazing,” Hill said with a laugh. But it’s the most productive day of my life, because he’s my friend. He’s my boy. I need to see all my kids eat, man. So I love it.

With Tagovailoa as his quarterback, Hill led the league with 1,799 receiving yards and thirteen touchdowns in 2023.
