CLARKSTOWN, NY – A potentially harmful altercation involving a firearm was temporarily handled through the Clarkstown Police Department on Friday, August 2, resulting in two arrests. The incident, reported at approximately 11:20 a. m. , occurred in the parking lot of Home Depot at 43 Hutton Avenue in Nanuet.
Police were alerted to an argument between two men, one of whom was brandishing a gun.
An off-duty detective described the suspects involved, allowing for a quick response. The gunman and his female companion were seen fleeing the scene in a black BMW X3.
The vehicle pulled up to police on Route 59 near Grandview Avenue. Adreon Clair, 26, and Ashley Clair, 26, both of Patterson, New Jersey, were arrested in the vehicle where a black semiautomatic handgun was found loaded in a purse.
Les Clair are facing charges of delinquent ownership of a second-degree weapon and unlawful ownership of an ammunition feeding device. Following his arraignment in Clarkstown City Justice Court, bail was set at $20,000 for Mr. Clair and $10,000 for Mrs. Clair. of which are being held in the Rockland County Jail pending further proceedings.
MOUNT OLIVER, PA — A fatal shooting in Mount Oliver has sparked an investigation through the Allegheny County Police Department’s homicide unit.
The event occurred around 12:30 p. m. Today emergencies were called to the place in the hundredth block of Amanda Avenue.
Upon arrival, first responders found a deceased adult male at the scene.
Preliminary reports imply that the victim was shot in front of his residence, resulting in his immediate death.
Detectives have opened their investigation into the shooting cases. As the investigation progresses, it is expected that more major points will emerge related to the motive and culprit of this violent incident.
BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, N. J. — The Township of Berkeley Office of Emergency Management has issued a cautionary advisory for full-time and seasonal citizens regarding Tropical Storm Debby. At this time, the exact path of the typhoon remains uncertain, but it is expected to have a potential effect on the Jersey Shore between Tuesday and Thursday of next week.
