Depending on your card-issuing bank, you may have access to advance or VIP tickets to concerts and main events. This is an excellent cardholder advantage that hard-to-book event attendees shouldn’t ignore.
With most American Express cards, you can purchase tickets in advance through the American Express Experiences program. American Express offers cardholders pre-sales for popular music festivals like Coachella and top sporting events like Wimbledon and the US Open Golf Championship.
For events, your American Express card may also give you access to exclusive meetings and qualify you for card-only concession or admissions offers. You may also be able to enjoy invitation-only events.
The American Express Platinum Card® is one of the most versatile cards for getting tickets to events. Not only does this open invite-only reports through American Express Experiences, but you can also have your Amex Platinum concierge, a genuine human being. – Book tickets electronically for you. This can save you the need to be in front of the computer at any given time to get what you need.
American Express Experiences offers a number of tickets for shows, concerts, and other types of entertainment. You can categorize reports through Early Access or “Invite Only,” which requires an edition of the American Express Platinum Card® or Amex Centurion “Black” Card.
Once you determine the occasion you need to attend, you can click “Get Tickets” to be redirected to Ticketmaster, AXS, or anywhere reservations exist.
Alternatively, you can visit the Amex Ticketmaster homepage to view Ticketmaster offers. Check out pre-sales, American Express seats, and favorite American Express seats. You will need to pay with your eligible Amex card to qualify.
Capital One credit cards will offer presale opportunities for events. Notably, in 2022, Capital One will offer exclusive opportunities to purchase tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour just about 3 days before sales open to the public.

If you have a Citi credit or debit card, you can access exclusive ticket price offers through the Citi Entertainment program. Citi will give you access to purchase tickets before anyone else.
Citi says its presale tickets typically go on sale two to three days before tickets are available to the public, but it’s longer.
By visiting the Citi Entertainment website, you can easily see which occasions are up for pre-sale. You can also check out Preferred Tickets (which are tickets reserved exclusively for Citi cardholders), Preferred Tickets, and Complimentary Tickets (which can be claimed once every six months).
Once you place a bid, you may be transferred to Ticketmaster. com or wherever tickets are sold. You’ll want to enter the first six digits of your Citi credit or debit card to unlock the offer.
All Citi cards are eligible to access presale tickets through the Citi Entertainment portal. Therefore, buying tickets with this card can help you get there faster to your next vacation.
Your Chase credit card is rarely the best for presale tickets, you can often get presale tickets for events at the Chase Center (in other words, it’s not worth a ton of cash in the world).
Still, Chase credit and debit card members can enjoy the seats Chase likes at events. And, for certain events, Chase would conceivably invite everyone who purchased a Chase Preferred Seat to enjoy a pre-event reception at a Chase Lounge.

Having access to pre-sale tickets does not guarantee that you will be able to purchase tickets to very popular events. But it can be of great help.
If there is an upcoming occasion for which you wish to access the pre-sale, you will need your card number to qualify. Don’t wait a day or two before the pre-sale to open a credit card that gives you this access, because you would. You may not get it in time.
Some credit cards offer you an instant virtual card number upon approval, which can make presales easier.
