Pixar is working a new Disney series set in the world of “Inside Out” called “Dream Productions. “The show, which is set to premiere in 2025, will take place between the events of the first “Inside Out” film and the sequel “Inside Out 2,” which opened a dizzying box set this summer.
“Dream Productions” was announced Friday at the D23 fan expo via Pixar head Pete Docter, who said the series will take a position “in the studio where Riley’s dreams are learned on time and on budget. “
The series arrives as “Inside Out 2” surpassed the $1. 5 billion mark at the box office. The sequel follows Docter’s 2015 film “Inside Out,” which brought a young girl’s feelings to life. The sequel added a series of new feelings as the girl, Riley, entered puberty.
“Dream Productions” is a dream factory play that is noticeable in the franchise, where Riley’s dreams were advertised as a comedy production.
Pixar’s first full-length television series, “Win or Lose,” is coming to Disney+ in December.
