On June 21, festival organizer CJ ENM announced that its popular K-pop music event, KCON, is coming to Europe for the first time since 2016. It will take place on September 28 and 29 at Messe Frankfurt in Germany.
“I am very pleased to announce the first KCON in Germany for European K-pop enthusiasts who have been waiting for a long time,” Shin Hyung-kwan, head of CJ ENM’s music content business, told Korea JoongAng Daily.
“We will offer more joy with greater diversity and programs, exceeding expectations,” he added. “We are committed to offering enthusiasts and artists who love K-pop the opportunity to talk intensely to each other and make memories. “
On July 17, KCON announced the first list of artists who will perform in the next episode in Germany. They come with female teams Dreamcatcher and KISS OF LIFE, boy bands RIIZE and THE BOYZ, rapper Lee Young-ji and more.
The second lineup of artists for KCON Germany 2024 was announced on July 24. It included boybands LUN8, NOWADAYS, and ONF, the girl organization ILLIT, as well as solo artists SHINee’s Key, (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon, and GOT7’s Yugyeom. Formation

KCON Germany will be the fourth global KCON event of 2024, following festivals in Hong Kong and Japan, as well as the next annual show in Los Angeles next month. The K-pop event is also expected to take place in Saudi Arabia this year.
