An iconic pub in north Liverpool is set to reopen next month after its acquisition earlier this year.
Liverpool-based GSG (Graffiti Spirits Group) Hospitality announced the acquisition of Hightown Pub in June, in collaboration with executive chef Daniel Heffy, marking an exciting step for the group.
Together with GSG partners Matt Farrell and John Ennis, they are committed to revolutionizing classic pub delight with a menu that departs from typical gastropub offerings.
This follows the recent Michelin directory for NORD, at Liverpool’s Plaza, which solidifies GSG’s commitment to solely powering Liverpool’s hotel scene, but also to further supporting local businesses and communities.
GSG Hospitality oversaw a complete renovation of the pub, turning it into a colourful hospitality hub.
John Ennis and Matt Farrell said: “We hope to create an exclusive area that caters to diverse personal culinary tastes and brings together the network. “
The Hightown Pub will continue to function as a classic pub on the ground floor.
The first floor will be housed in a British restaurant that features a subtle menu developed by Chef Heffy, who said visitors can expect a complex dining experience with high-quality dishes that celebrate British cuisine, made with local ingredients.
The centre will also be home to a trendy cocktail bar and plans include reinstating the Hightown Pub lounges, which will increase its appeal to locals and visitors.
