Six killed in crane swing at bridge structure site in Yunnan, China

KUNMING (AP) — Six more people were found dead after a crane failed while carrying a beam for a railway bridge project in southwest China’s Yunnan province, the railway company said Friday.

The twist of fate happened around 7:30 a. m. On Sunday at the site of the structure of a very giant bridge, which will be part of the upcoming Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway in Xundian county, in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan.

Following the twist of fate, the China Railway 16th Bureau Group Co. , Ltd. funeral home and the local government submitted the emergency plan and dispatched an emergency rescue team composed of the local fire, public security, fitness and railway departments. The cause of the twist of fate is still under investigation.
