From 1-for-1 food deals to free parking coupons – celebrate National Day with special gifts and activities

As Singapore’s 59th anniversary approaches, the little red dot generates a lot of excitement.

HDB floors adorned with national flags, rehearsals of aerial presentations heard on weekends and, of course, the influx of National Day-themed offerings and activities in August.

There’s a lot to discover, so we’ve done you a favor by rounding up some of those amazing deals here.

Let’s start with the food.  

What could be more Singaporean than enjoying fondue with your loved ones?A bargain, of course.

Haidilao is offering a promotion where consumers who eat there can enjoy a 41% reduction on dishes.

That’s not all: The popular restaurant chain will offer “surprise dishes” like Pork Belly and Black Pork at a discounted price in stores. So keep an eye on their social media for more details on this!

Just keep in mind that the promotion is valid until August 15th.

It’s the return of a fan favorite.

That’s right, cat

What could be more appropriate than celebrating the National Day with a taste that is a staple in many Singapore households?

The Milo Dinosaur Cheesecake is said to be richer and more chocolatey than before and also has a crunchy cocoa graham cracker crust on the back to give it some texture.  

A slice costs $6. 90 or $48. 90 for a full pie.

But if you move on to Cat

If your birthday falls on the national holiday, then you’re in for a treat.

From August 9 to 23, visitors who have the same birthday as Singapore will be able to enjoy Bucketta’s premium seafood buffet, which costs $59. 90, for free.

Think tiger shrimp, blooming crabs, crayfish, and giant river shrimp, to name just a few treats you’ll find in your seafood bucket.

The sauces come with the restaurant’s signature Cajun Thai sauce or garlic butter.

Just bring at least one couple for dinner and proof of birthday and reservation, and you’re good to go!

At Omma Korean Charcoal BBQ, consumers can enjoy $59 off their overall bill during this national holiday period.

But this agreement poses a small challenge.   You’ll dine on site dressed in red and white, Singapore’s national colors.

Guests can enjoy Korean fried fish dishes such as Iberian red meat neck, ribs and black red meat belly.

This exclusive promotion will only be available from Monday to Thursday, from August 5 to 16.

Ducking Good, in Geylang, is an exclusive duck specialist and puts a unique twist on the classic bak kut teh: Duck Kut Teh.

A whole duck leg rests in a spicy, herbaceous broth, and the dish is served with a huge hunk of tiao.

From now until the end of August, consumers can enjoy a free side dish, valued at up to $13. 90, with every purchase of this exclusive dish.

Complimentary dishes on offer include: stir-fried clay biscuits, Thai tofu with sweet chili, and Ngoh Hiang plate.

Fancy a meal that pays homage to one of Singapore’s most iconic dishes?

Little Farms Chili Crab Pasta will be available exclusively from August 5-25.

The perfectly al dente pasta is drizzled with a sweet and very spicy sauce and accompanied by a hearty crab meat.

Each serving of chilli crab paste comes with two deep-fried mantou buns to soak up all that sauce!

Alternatively, you can toast with a sweet treat (get it?) for years of independence with the gluten-free toast set.

Little Farms’ quintessential Singaporean breakfast combines all-natural Kaya Jam made by Everiday Foods with organic eggs and a cup of Kopi Latte.

The Japanese restaurant chain presents two menus for National Day: Sengkang cockle ramen and milk tea with salty cheese and marinated cockles.

The ramen includes a Tonkotsu soup boiled for 12 hours accompanied by Hakata Ramen noodles. Cockles are shelled and you will have the option of cooking them or raw.

As for the more eclectic menu, tapioca pearls are replaced by shoyu-marinated pickled cockles.

The Masses celebrates Singapore’s 59th birthday by offering a National Day Community Menu for a promotional value of $59. 90 for the month of August.

The shared menu includes 10 courses, Crabmeat Kueh Pie Tee, Steak Tartare, Clay Pot Frog Leg and Cempedak Tarte Tatin.

That’s not all, from August 1 until the end of the month, Sambal Stingray will be available for $39. 90 for two.

The Franco-Asian edition of this vintage is roasted in banana leaves and features a homemade sambal paste.

Raise your hand if you have a sweet tooth and love your donuts.

Krispy Kreme will feature limited-edition National Day exclusive doughnuts: SGUnited and #Happy59NDP ($3. 60 each).  

SGUnited features Krispy Kreme’s signature soft and airy donut (with a crunchy twist, of course).

The #Happy59NDP, on the other hand, is filled with Strawberry Kreme and has a refreshing lychee and rose flavor. There’s also a sprinkle of snowy cheddar, added by measure.

The promotion for the National Day edition donuts will be valid until August 11.  

It’s time to get the gang together at Heavenly Wang in August.

The Local Heritage Café celebrates this year’s National Day by honouring Singapore’s growing cycling community.

Until August 11, riders can enjoy a regular hot Kopi o Teh for $0. 59 at Changi Airport Terminal 2.

All you have to do to receive the merit of the offering is to cycle to the place and follow Heavenly Wang on Instagram.

Another attractive notice offered is the following, valid on National Day.

On August 9, you can buy a cup of hot Kopi for $0. 59 or two bowls of full-portion Laksa for $5. 90 at all Heavenly Wang outlets, from 12 p. m. at nine at night

Beer lovers, pay attention. Relax and celebrate National Day with this offer at Toma By The River.

On August 9, from five to six in the afternoon, the restaurant will offer Peroni beers for $1 (refillable). Consider it the best opportunity to celebrate with friends in an environment.

There is no need to RSVP, just head to Muhammad Sultan Road to enjoy the atmosphere of this National Day.

Spend a minimum of $80 on Great World for a chance to spin, with prizes up to $799.  

This offer extends throughout the month of August and represents a double expense for the supermarkets’ income.

On National Day, from 2 p. m. to 9 p. m. At five o’clock in the afternoon, head to McDonald’s to get some loose strawberry ice cream. Limited to the first 1000 Great Rewards members.

There are also weekend activities from 2 to 4 p. m.   Throughout the month of August for children.

Also spend a minimum of $50 and invite them to participate in craft workshops, such as painting piggy banks, making toys with dragons on the playground, and making windmills.

This new shopping center with logo officially opened its doors on July 22 and is already approaching the national holiday with many delicacies.

Whether it’s loose popcorn, cotton candy or ice cream, your stay at Pasir Ris Mall will be great.

For those with kids, weekend makeup will be a fun activity for the circle of family!

And if you’re done grocery shopping, don’t trade a small shopping bag (spent with a minimum of $50) and an insulated bottle (spent with a minimum of $100).

Just bring your own reusable products and stay at Tanglin Mall on Instagram and you can redeem expired cookies, kacang puteh, pre-packaged cotton candy, or pre-packaged popcorn for free.

This event takes place the first four weekends of August and the exchange of gifts varies depending on the day, so keep an eye out for your favorites!

You will also have the opportunity to give new life to old bags with iron-on patches.

Head to Tanglin Mall on August 17 and 18 with your own bag and head to Level 1, near Guardian.

Submit your receipt(s) with $30 spent and you’re good to go.

There are 50 redemptions per day and are limited to two traditional iron-on patches and one Tanglin Mall-exclusive iron-on patch.

Kick off your National Day birthday party with the Green Market, which runs through August 4, where you’ll find vendors promoting crafts, clothing, and more.

Located in Basement 1 of Fountain Square, you can find vendors like Saleable, Crochet Sg, and MoNo Foods.

The National Day Food Fair, August 8-11, features a varied array of delicious delicacies from Singapore and beyond.

Head to level 1 to enjoy a durian under the stars. A 60-minute all-you-can-eat durian buffet awaits you with a variety of durians such as Mao Shan Wang, D24 and Red Prawn.

Head to the Harbourfront Center for the fun-filled National Day festival, which runs until August 11!

From laughing games to exciting shows, visitors will have a multitude of occasions and activities to look out for.

Studio Bee Pop Up is also scheduled to run until August 11.

And from 11 a. m. to 8 p. m. Every day, you’ll have the opportunity to enter this adorable world and see cute and captivating knick-knacks, from keychains and badges to greeting cards and stickers.

If you stop by the mall on a weekend, spend $50 on a single receipt and you can redeem an activity card.

With this card you can enjoy laughing games, activities and making badges yourself.

Once you’ve finished the Activity Card, be sure to stop by the Level 3 Information Desk to pick up a special gift!

During the month of August, spend $30 on a single receipt at any Parkside F PLQ store

Please note that this is the parking lot in the PLQ 3 parking lot and that the exchange is on a first-come, first-served basis.
