FINAL SECTION IV FOOTBALL SCORES

Week Two:

12 Sports Game of the Week:  Chenango Valley (1-1) – 24, Maine-Endwell (1-1) – 42

“Looking over there and seeing him do his thing, I thought he did a great job, I thought they were prepared, you know and he should be proud of himself, so I think he’s going to do a great job here,” said Maine-Endwell head coach Matt Gallagher.

“You can see why they’ve had so much success. It’s different being on the other side, but I learned a lot from this game. I learned a lot from his coaching style, things I’m going to be able to take away from it,” said head coach Nick Sorrenti.

Walton (1-1) 38, Greene (1-1) 14

“We for the most part took care of business after that first five, six minutes where they scored two quick touchdowns. We got to do a better job from the get go but once we got going I think we played pretty well. Kids played hard, took care of their responsibilities and it’s nice to get a win on a rainy day like this,” said Walton head coach Adam Hoover.

Elmira (1-1) 63  – Union-Endicott (0-2) 13

Sidney (2-0) 62 , Unatego/Franklin (0-2) 8

“It was a lot of fun, big thanks to the lineman for making those big holes, we are just working hard. A lot of hard work at practice, thanks to Nick for stepping up and being the new QB and our wide receivers for working hard on the field. We are coming together as a team to win these games,” said Sidney running back Nick Harrington.
