You don’t have to travel far to experience the tastes and sounds of Germany. The Village of Fairport is set to host Oktoberfest this weekend.
Fairport Oktoberfest is celebrating 10 years of German pride. The 140,000 square foot tent is going up at Fairport Junction on Lift Bridge Lane.
There will be plenty of live music, dancing, traditional German food and plenty of beer to enjoy, rain or shine.
“It’s a celebration. It’s a celebration of German-American culture, great food and great drink and music and beautiful people,” said Scott Winner, Fairport Perinton Partnership for a Better Community. “It is a great tradition. It is all here and so yes, we have a blast!”
Fairport Oktoberfest begins Friday at 4:00 and Saturday at noon. More information can be found here.
