Japan Airlines’ New Seating Policy Isn’t Child’s Play

Japan Airlines isn’t kidding around.

Last week, the Tokyo-based full-service carrier introduced a feature on its booking website that tells flyers which seats have been booked by children under the age of two. It is designed to help passengers who want to avoid spending 10 hours in an enclosed space close to a potentially noisy infant—with the exception of those responsible for the child, who are required to sit next to it.
