JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) — Just more than a year after The Ground Round closed its doors, Mooney’s Sports Bar and Grill is planning to open at the same location on Reynolds Road.
The back-to-back winners of the Binghamton Mac Fest are in the process of rennovating it.
Co-owner Brian Harris says they hope to be open by Thanksgiving and the hiring and training process will begin soon.
“We’re already getting applications out to people, we’re going to start interviewing as soon as maybe by the end of next week,” said Harris.
Harris says they intend on hiring all their staff locally.
