NBC Sports Chicago will carry the first game of the 2019-20 Blackhawks regular season on Friday, Oct. 4 as the Blackhawks will face the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2019 NHL Global Series™ game LIVE from the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic. Expanded game day coverage begins with a special, ONE-HOUR edition of Blackhawks Pregame Live presented by ChevyDrivesChicago.com at 12 NOON CT (taking place at the Blackhawks Official Watch Party at WestEnd, 1326 W. Madison St. in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood), featuring veteran Blackhawks expert/multi-platform host Pat Boyle with pregame analysis to be provided by Blackhawks legend/U.S. Hockey Hall of Famer Eddie Olczyk, former Blackhawks standouts Adam Burish and Jamal Mayers, along with the latest team news/player updates from Prague via Blackhawks digital reporter/producer Charlie Roumeliotis.
Face-off is set for 1:00 pm. CT featuring Blackhawks play-by-play announcer/2014 Hockey Hall of Fame Foster Hewitt Memorial Award recipient Pat Foley, along with game analysis provided by former Blackhawks standout/veteran Blackhawks analyst Steve Konroyd (NOTE: Olczyk will join Foley in the broadcast booth for the home opener on Thursday, Oct. 10). Blackhawks Postgame Live presented by Hyundai immediately follows the game, featuring live post-game press conferences, live locker room player interviews, full highlights and complete post-game analysis.
Then, on Thursday, Oct. 10, NBC Sports Chicago will provide Blackhawks fans with expanded, day-long multi-platform coverage for the team’s HOME OPENER, as the Blackhawks host the San Jose Sharks; note the following Home Opener coverage details:

6:00p.m. – SportsTalk Live presented by The Chevy Silverado – Special Opening Night United Center remote edition pre-game discussion & analysis with host David Kaplan and a panel of Blackhawks/NHL experts.
6:30 p.m. – Red Carpet Special – NBC Sports Chicago will be providing fans with exclusive coverage of the Blackhawks players/coaches/ambassadors “Red Carpet” arrival as they get ready to start up the 2019-20 NHL season in style. The “Red Carpet Special” will be hosted by Pat Boyle, who will be joined NBC Sports Chicago’s new Blackhawks home game reporter and season-long, multi-platform contributor Nick Gismondi, a 24-year sports broadcasting veteran who spent the past two seasons as an anchor/reporter for the Vegas Golden Knights on AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain. The “Red Carpet Special” can also be viewed on Facebook Live (Facebook.com/NBCSChicago).
7:00 p.m. – Blackhawks Pregame Live presented by ChevyDrivesChicago.com – Special edition pregame show live from the United Center featuring hosts Pat Boyle, along with former Blackhawks great/three-time Stanley Cup Champion Patrick Sharp, Adam Burish, Steve Konroyd and additional special guests. This edition of Blackhawks Pregame Live will also provide a complete look at the 2019-20 squad featuring player/coaches/VIP interviews, plus Opening Night feature segments, a detailed Blackhawks vs. Sharks player match-up discussion, along with additional in-arena Opening Night reports from Nick Gismondi.
7:30 p.m. – HOME/SEASON OPENER – Chicago Blackhawks vs. San Jose Sharks – Featuring the game call from the Hall of Fame duo of Pat Foley and Eddie Olczyk, along with in-game reports provided by Nick Gismondi.
10:00 p.m. – Blackhawks Postgame Live presented by Hyundai (time approximate.) – Hosted by Boyle, Sharp, Burish and Konroyd, with postgame locker room reports from Gismondi, this Opening Night expanded edition Blackhawks Postgame Live will provide fans with a complete game recap/analysis, plus live post-game press conferences and player interviews.
