
We’re now two weeks into the Rugby World Cup and the tournament has seen its two most seismic performances in the past seven days.
On Saturday, Japan gave the World Cup the shock it was hoping for as the host nation came from behind to deservedly beat Ireland and blow Pool A wide open.

Then on Sunday, Wales showed their credentials with a first-half blitz against Australia followed by dogged defence in the closing stages to seal a dramatic 29-25 win.
Elsewhere, New Zealand continue to move through the gears, South Africa bounced back from their defeat by the All Blacks and France and Argentina readied themselves for England with routine wins.

15 Stuart Hogg (Scotland)
Having failed to turn up against Ireland, Scotland arrived at the World Cup with an emphatic win over Samoa. A threat all match with his running and kicking, it was Hogg’s 40-metre drop goal that best demonstrated his world class ability.
