Tomball scored on Evan Alaniz’s 4-yard run, Jacob Jordan’s 24-yard run, Emil Asaf’s 49-yard pass from Hunter Dunn, Jayris Smith’s 27-yard pass from Dunn and Cash Walker’s 40-yard pass from Dunn.
The Cougars had 394 total yards to Magnolia West’s 539.
Tomball lost to host Port Neches-Groves 28-7 in non-district, Sept. 13, at Port Neches. The Cougars trailed 14-0 at halftime and scored on Hunter Dunn’s 2-yard pass to Arrington Eason.
The Cougars are scheduled to face Caney Creek, Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m., at Tomball ISD Stadium.
In volleyball, the Lady Cougars (24-15, 7-3) beat host Huntsville 3-1 (14-25, 25-13, 25-11, 25-23) in district, Oct. 1, and host Montgomery, Oct. 4.
The Lady Cougars beat visiting Porter 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-20) in District 20-5A, Sept. 24, and beat host Willis 3-2 (25-18, 25-20, 20-25, 20-25, 15-13), Sept. 27.
The Lady Cougars are scheduled to visit Caney Creek in district, Oct. 8, and host Lake Creek, Oct. 11.
Tomball Memorial
The Wildcats (3-1, 1-1) entered a bye-week in week five and are scheduled face Langham Creek in District 14-6A, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m., at Pridgeon Stadium.
Tomball Memorial shutout Bryan 40-0 to get its district win, Sept. 20, at Tomball ISD Stadium. Joseph Manjack finished with 114 rushing yards on 15 carries and threw for four touchdowns to Vanderbilt commit Logan Kyle and Richard Rodriguez had 179 rushing yards on 27 carries.
Tomball Memorial scored on Manjack’s 1-yard run, Manjack’s 10-yard, 20-yard, 28-yard and 31-yard pass to Kyle, Alex Edmondson’s 28-yard interception return.
Coltin Marwell and Carbrey Barnes were out due to injury and could return after a bye week.

The Lady Wildcats beat host Cy Springs 3-1 (25-23, 25-16, 21-25, 25-16) in District 14-6A, Sept. 24, and lost to visiting Cy Ranch 3-2 (18-25, 25-17, 25-21, 23-25, 12-15), Sept. 27.
The Lady Wildcats enter a bye, Oct. 8, and are scheduled to visit host Langham Creek, Oct. 11.
Concordia Lutheran
The Crusaders (1-3) lost to visiting Hargrave 41-28 in non-district, Sept. 27.
The Crusaders scored on Cale Hellums’ 16-yard pass from Brett Simcox, Lucas Rosenbaum’s 20-yard rush, Cameron Price’s 13-yard from Hellums and Price’s 15-yard pass from Simcox.
Simcox finished with 184 passing yards, Rosenbaum rushed for 50 yards and Hellums had 79 receiving yards.
The Crusaders were forced to cancel their match against host Lumberton due to weather, Sept. 20.
Concordia Lutheran lost to visiting Second Baptist 38-13 in non-district, Sept. 13.
The Crusaders visit Kinkaid in non-district, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m., and kick off TAPPS D1-3 play at St. Thomas Catholic, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m.
In volleyball, the Lady Crusaders (28-7, 2-0) beat visiting The Village School 3-0 in district, Oct. 1, were scheduled to visit St. Agnes Academy, Oct. 2, and host St. Joseph Victoria, Oct. 4.
Concordia Lutheran is scheduled to visit Kelly Catholic, Oct. 7, visit St. Pius X, Oct. 8, and host St. John XXIII, Oct. 10.
Rosehill Christian
The Eagles (4-1) beat visiting Tomball Christian HomeSchool 28-0 in non-district, Sept. 27.
Rosehill Christian scored 21 points in the second quarter and seven more in the final quarter. Trevor Manning rushed for 130 yards and finished with one passing and one rushing touchdown and Ben Nicholson added one rushing touchdown.
Rosehill Christian beat visiting West Hardin 36-0 in non-district, Sept. 20. Drevonte Green had two rushing touchdowns, Joe Johnson and Trevor Manning added one each and Ben Nicholson returned an interception for a touchdown.
The Eagles host Iona, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m., and kick off TAPPS D4-4 play at Legacy Prep Christian, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.
In volleyball, the Lady Eagles were scheduled to host Legacy Prep-Magnolia, Oct. 1, and visit Providence Classical-Spring, Oct. 3.
