FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — Authorities in Massachusetts have recovered the body of a man missing in a boating accident after searching for several days.
Bristol District Attorney Thomas Quinn announced Wednesday that the body of 35-year-old Marc Hanoud, of Berkley, was recovered near the site of a fatal boating accident in Mount Hope Bay on Saturday.
Hanoud was on the boat with 42-year-old Brent Osborne, of Middleborough, when their boat capsized in the wake of another vessel and the two men were thrown in the water off the coast of Fall River.
Osbourne was rescued and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Quinn says Hanoud’s body was recovered 38 feet below the water’s surface by the state police marine unit.
Both men were reported to have been wearing life jackets.
