Stocks may not climb much higher this year. But you can still make these smart money moves

In a quick read, we could say that Prabhas latest film Saaho is made with 300 crores budget, collected 232 crores ‘share’ from box office; If we include non-theatrical sales like satellite rights and all, it made another 138 crores, leaving the producers in 70 crores profits on a whole. But with the theatrical rights of the film valued at 290 crores and some areas sold to outside distributors, there is a clear 60 crores loss visible from theatre circuits. So who lost that 60 crores is the big question now? Though some trade reports say that UV Creations have released the film themselves in many circuits, they are said to have sold them to some small-time buyers city-wise in AP and Telangana. Those people are said to have incurred 20% to 40% losses. While Saaho distributors in Bollywood are expected to be at loss initially, they have made profits in the full run as the film did exceedingly well despite poor ratings from critics. Only Telugu distributors in Telugu states are said to have lost money majorly while in the USA the film got released by giants like Yash Raj and for them this loss is nothing. At the same time, Saaho proved that investing wisely is the best thing to practice while promoting aggressively is another trait one should apply to a big-scale film in order to recover the hefty budgets.
