Rishi Sunak’s private cell phone number was leaked online when social media trolls posted the audio of the phone’s ringtone.

RISHI Sunak’s former private cell phone number has been posted online, The Sun can reveal.

Number 10 went through a new security breach after pranksters on social media posted the audio of the phone ringing and the Prime Minister’s answering machine message in response.

This comes two-and-a-half years after Boris Johnson was forced to replace his mobile phone number while working following a similar online alert.

The Sun has verified that the number is the same as the one Mr Sunak has used for many years, adding when he was chancellor and at last year’s leadership election.

But he said he gave her a new, separate number when he arrived here by force a year ago.

However, the online video that surfaced on Sunday appears to show that the number is still working.

Last month, Sunak said he couldn’t forward certain WhatsApp messages to the Covid inquiry sent to and from that number, because he hadn’t stored them after converting the phones multiple times.

Downing Street declined to comment on security concerns.
