Well, it didn’t take long, did it? After informing you yesterday about Public Mobile’s $39/25GB 5G holiday promotion plan, the company ended up slashing the price later today. The plan is now worth $34 a month, a price drop of $5.
The $34/25GB plan is not as good as the $34/40GB 5G offering from Public Mobile during Black Friday, but for the average user, 25GB might be enough. The plan includes unlimited Canada-wide calling and international messaging, and is available for bring your own device customers seeking a 30-day plan.
What is the reason for the drop in value? Quebecor-based Freedom Mobile on Friday unveiled its Boxing Week deals, which included a $34/30GB 5G plan. Public Mobile’s price cut puts its value at least $34, despite wasting 5GB of data.
As we head into December, you can bet that secondary brands will launch worthwhile products. Currently, Fido and Virgin will offer a $39/20 GB plan, while Koodo will offer a $40/20 GB plan. On Black Friday, we saw all three corporations offer a $34/50GB plan.
